Laurence Dixon oversees NADA’s market intelligence efforts and leads a team with a goal to continuously provide content that is both useful and usable to the automotive industry, financial institutions, businesses and consumers. He manages and contributes to NADA’s Used Car & Truck Blog, creates the company’s monthly market report and oversees the creation of special studies and reports.

Over his 15-year career at NADA, Dixon is well-versed in the analysis of wholesale and retail transaction price data, as well as the market fundamentals that dictate used vehicle price performance. Day to day, he analyzes data to not only determine what is happening in the automotive industry, but more importantly, why it’s happening. Dixon is a well-respected authority and has been tapped to participate on various speaking panels. He’s also been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Car & Driver Magazine and Automotive News.

Dixon started at NADA in 1997, shortly after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Frostburg State University. On the weekend, you will likely find Dixon spending time with his two children, renovating something around the house or watching “House Hunters International” on HGTV.

Since starting with NADA in 2007, Paris has served in various capacities for the editorial and market intelligence teams within the NADA Used Car Guide. Paris is skilled in vehicle valuation forecasting as well as the analysis of wholesale and retail transaction price data and economic market fundamentals that affect used vehicle price performance.

Paris received his Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University in 2007. When not obsessing about the automotive industry at work, he enjoys restoring older cars and even dabbles in a bit of competitive racing.

Joseph Choi

Joseph Choi, an automotive analyst at NADA Used Car Guide, supports the organization’s market intelligence initiatives through the analysis and reporting of various aspects of the automotive industry, including current market conditions and trends. Since earning his Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University in 2009, Joseph has worked in various capacities for Volkswagen, Nissan, and Chrysler, including sales and after sales operations, marketing, dealer development, finance, and manufacturing. Through his experience working in both headquarters and field office environments, as well as an assembly plant, he gained insight on many aspects of the automotive business, which translates to his work with NADA.

Currently, Joseph is pursuing his Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University, but outside of work and school he is also an avid tennis player, as well as a car enthusiast, and regards the Acura Integra Type-R as his favorite car. In addition, as a passionate Washington, D.C. sports fan, he considers the Washington Redskins and Washington Wizards as being his favorite teams.
