Chris Visser is the architect of J.D. Power Valuation Services' commercial vehicle valuation processes. He has been monitoring the commercial vehicle market since 1998. Chris analyzes incoming commercial vehicle retail and wholesale sales data from dealers, OEMs and auctions, and translates this data into monthly values. He authors our Commercial Truck Blog and publishes the commercial vehicle section of Guidelines, J.D. Power Valuation Services' monthly publication on vehicle valuations.

Visser is involved in NADA’s Dealer Academy, teaching the next generation of dealers about commercial truck appraisals. He’s a go-to source for leading publications and has been recently quoted in Transport Topics and Successful Dealer. He’s been tapped to speak at various industry events, including on a Used Truck Association panel about financing.

Chris started his career in commercial truck valuations at NADA Used Car Guide in 1997. He has a B.A. in government from Franklin & Marshall College. When he isn’t thinking about commercial trucks, Chris might be found on a mountain bike or playing bass in his band.
