Most dealers reported lackluster retail activity in November, although there were enough exceptions to keep our sales-per-rooftop average from dropping too dramatically. With about 90% of our expected sales received, we estimate November’s figure to come in at 4.4 trucks per rooftop. This figure is 0.4 truck lower than October, and 0.4 truck lower than November 2015.

Year-to-date, 2016 is running only 0.1 truck behind 2015. November is typically a weak month, so we are not yet identifying a shift in market conditions at this point. At the same time, retail and wholesale pricing have moved downward in the second half of 2016, so we already know activity is somewhat weak.

Stay tuned shortly for the December edition of our Guidelines monthly market update.
