As expected, NADA reporting dealers retailed a mildly lower number of trucks per rooftop in May compared to April, at 5.9 vs. 6.2 (this is a preliminary result that may change slightly as we receive the last of our reports). We expected some decrease this month due to a traditional seasonal slowdown in buying/selling activity, so a 0.3 truck decrease is negligible.

We interpret this result as an indication that economic factors impacting used truck demand remain consistent. For more detail on economic factors, see the Economic Review section of June Guidelines.
