With 70% of our expected sales received from reporting dealers, we estimate individual rooftops retailed 4.9 trucks in July. This result would be 0.5 truck better than June, and 0.2 truck better than the first-half 2016 average. Compared to the first seven months of 2015, 2016 is running 0.3 truck behind. This is the fourth year in a row in which July is a strong month for sales – although in the current environment, the word “strong” is relative. See graph below for detail.
