The latest generation Mustang was launched in 2015. Going into its fourth production year, the iconic pony car is due for a few tweaks as the 2018 model receives the usual mid-cycle refresh.

According to Motor Authority, the GT350 will remain an influence on the overall Mustang refresh plan. The update is expected to take some of the styling from the GT350 and spread it across the rest of the lineup. Changes are unlikely to affect the current range-topping muscle car, but new colors will be available. An all-new 10-speed automatic transmission is set to replace the outgoing 6-speed unit. Dealer ordering information suggests that a dual-clutch gearbox for the GT350 (or potential GT500) is unlikely. Look for more updates as the ordering guides officially hit dealers in 2017.
