If you haven’t placed an order for a Chevy SS, the time is now. After four short years, production of the 415 horsepower muscle sedan is ending.  According to GM Authority, the ordering window for the SS is closing at the end of the month.

Often dubbed the “family man’s Corvette”, the SS filled a small niche for a practical American sports sedan. Performance comes from the Corvette’s LS3 V8, and when paired with the manual transmission and available magnetic ride control, it delivers. Sales, however, never lived up to the hype. In July of 2016, Chevy offered a 20 percent discount off MSRP to help clear out inventory. The 2017 model remains unchanged from the previous year. No word has been given if the SS will make a comeback with General Motors’ next platform.
