Sport utility vehicle sales have skyrocketed in the last year. This shift in consumer preferences has sparked a new line of premium luxury vehicles. To meet that preference challenge, BMW is ready to unveil their latest utility offering.

According to BMWBLOG, the all-new 2019 BMW X7 will make its debut at the 2017 International Motor Show, in Frankfurt Germany.

Aimed at US and Chinese markets, the X7 will boast the brand’s first 7-passenger configuration. Sources expect several 6- and 8-cylinder engine variations, as well as a 4-cylinder hybrid—similar to the one found in the 740e. The utility’s platform will be BMW's most luxurious and will host the latest technologies previously reserved for the 7-series sedan.

The X7 should arrive as a 2019 model next year and will compete directly with luxury 7-passenger utilities from Mercedes-Benz (GLS) and Audi (Q7). More information will be available at the official unveiling in September.
