Hello 1970

According to Automobile magazine Chevy will be making major changes to the 2016 Camaro.  First, the car will switch to the Alpha platform which currently underpins the CTS and ATS, allowing it to shed hundreds of pounds. Second, it will pick up the 2.0L Turbo 4 Cyl, to keep up with the Mustang. Lastly, it will take styling cues from the 1970’s gen-two model

GTI, FR-S, BRZ, and Focus ST Better Watch Out

The same Automobile article also produced the juicy rumor that Chevy will be producing a 2016 model based on the front wheel drive Tru 140S concept. This vehicle will slot in below the Camaro and offer a sporty car to directly compete with the hot hatches, a space that Chevy has not had an offering in since the Cobalt SS.

All New 2015 Ford Edge

Ford officially pulled the curtain today to reveal the new 2015 Ford Edge. The new look incorporates the hexagonal grill that can be seen across the ford lineup, think Fusion and Taurus. However, the most stylish part of the redesign is the rear of the vehicle. Borrowing from the recently debuted Lincoln MKC, the back of the Edge is extremely well thought out and executed. Also the Edge will be the first Ford vehicle to have an EcoBoost power plant as standard fare. Trim levels will include SE, SEL, Sport, and Titanium.

2015 Cruze Interior Goes Upscale

General Motors released photos of the new 2015 Cruze interior today and I have to say for the segment it is amazing. The dual cockpit design taken from sports cars like the Camaro and Corvette looks great.  The 8” touch screen featuring Chevy’s My Link II also takes a big step to the front of the pack.  Have to give GM credit for forging ahead instead of reacting.

He stated that Toyota may end its collaboration with Subaru and instead join forces with BMW.  Toyota has a plan to sell three tiers of rear wheel drive sports cars. Tada also stated the possibility of replacing the Subaru sourced boxer engine with an inline Toyota variant.

25% of Cars Recalled in the U.S. Never Get Fixed

According to the Detroit News some 36 million cars on the roads today are driving around with an outstanding recall. Is the problem the slow notification system or procrastination of owners? The answer is a combination of the two. Many people say they are too busy or they mistake the notices for junk mail and simply throw them away.
