Lexus NX Production Begins

Today is the first day of NX production according to Lexus and can be seen in this video. Lexus reports that they have already received over 6,500 pre orders for the compact luxury CUV.


GLA Shortage

Automotive News has reported that the new GLA is going to be short on supply when it goes on sale. Dealers have placed more orders for the vehicle than they did when the CLA debuted last September. Looks like another winner for Mercedes.

Elantra Loses a Model

Automobile has reported that this will be the last year for the Hyundai Elantra Coupe. Slow sales and competition from the likes of the Civic Coupe and Scion tC almost certainly contributed to its demise.

Dodge Charger Hellcat Debuts

 Dodge just debuted the all-new 2015 Charger Hellcat on Livestream. The new model will hit 207 mph, which  is faster than the Hellcat Challenger, however, the 0 to 60 is 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds slower than the Challenger’s time.


Infiniti Q50: The Beast Within (Eau Rouge)

Infiniti just made an amazing commercial starring the Q50. The car transforms at night under the full moon like a werewolf into the Eau Rouge. Check out the video.

BMW Ends Transferrable Maintenance Plan

BMW has announced that they are making changes to their no-cost scheduled maintenance plan.  The biggest change being, that the plan is no longer transferrable to the second owner of the vehicle. However, there is one caveat. If you are related to the original owner, BMW will continue to honor the plan.



Old Tires Turn into $2 Sandals

The BBC has a great story about old tires being recycled into sandals and sold on the streets of Nairobi for just $2 to $5.  These sandals are often called “thousand-milers”, have great durability and provide a cheap alternative to the impoverished locals who routinely went without footwear before these became available.

Cadillac Loses the Wreath with Updated 2015 CTS

Automobile has reported that the 2015 CTS has been reworked since its debut last year and received a new front end complete with a “wreathless” Cadillac emblem as well as new head lights, grill, and aero bits. This new logo will spread across all vehicles in Cadillac’s lineup.
