2016 Acura ILX: Poised and Ready

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, Acura released the reimagined 2016 ILX. According to many in the automotive press, this is what the car should have been the first time around. With new styling and upgraded performance and technology, the ILX is poised to compete with the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3.

The auto show in Los Angeles is off to a great start, with a slew of reveals yesterday that ranged from mini-ute’s ― like the Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3 ― to fast rides ― like the Mazda Miata and Lexus LF-C2 Concept.

Cadillac Files 13 Trademarks for New Model Names

According to TopSpeed, Cadillac has officially trademarked 13 new names for the CT and XT lines of vehicles. For the CT line, Cadillac registered CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT7 and CT8. For the XT designations XT2, XT3, XT4, XT5, XT6, XT7 and XT8 were filed. New nomenclature appears to be a trend this year, as Mercedes-Benz did the same thing earlier last week with its line of vehicles.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Ford has released images of the new Shelby GT350. Official power numbers are not mentioned, however the blue oval has given a few details about the track-focused car. Expect to see in the neighborhood of 500hp and more than 400 ft. lbs. of torque. This power will come from a new, free revving flat-plane crankshaft V8. The power plant is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine Ford has ever produced.
