BMW M Performance for a Hyundai Price?

Hyundai has announced they’ve hired Albert Biermann as Head of Vehicle Test and High Performance Development.  Biermann was the head of BMW’s M Division and had been with the Bavarian brand for over 30 years.  This corporate change could prove a tremendous success for Hyundai if their new line of N Performance vehicles turn out as Biermann plans.

2016 Cadillac CTS-V

Cadillac has pulled the sheet off the 2016 CTS-V. It’s a 200 mph beast, with 640 horsepower, and does a 60 mph sprint in just 3.7 seconds. The V-Series comes with a host of unique elements, which help set it apart from the mainline CTS. Here are just a few according to Cadillac:

  • Standard carbon fiber hood and available carbon fiber vent, front splitter, rear spoiler and rear diffuser for greater aerodynamic performance
  • Structural stiffness increased by 25 percent for improved ride and superior handling
  • Larger prop shafts and greater half-shaft asymmetry (stiffer driver’s side shaft) mitigate power hop during acceleration
  • A Brembo brake system provides durability, consistency and the capability for track-day performance.
  • The brake system includes two-piece 15.3-inch-diameter (390 mm) front rotors with staggered six-piston calipers and 14.3-inch-diamter (365 mm) rear rotors with four-piston calipers.
  • Third-generation Magnetic Ride Control delivering 40 percent faster damping response
