While the fate of the Cadillac ELR remains in question, an updated version has been revealed. Slow sales have troubled the ELR since its debut and Cadillac is looking to jumpstart them. According to Motor Authority, the ELR will get both power and tech upgrades for the 2016 model. While the exterior remains mostly the same, it does sport Cadillac’s new grill and crest. Power is now rated at 233 horsepower and 373 pound-feet of torque, bumped from 207 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration from 0-60 is improved by 1.5 seconds and top speed has been increased on the performance package. Electronic driving aids including side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert and active headlights, are now standard. Pricing also gets a $10k decrease and now starts at $65,995.
