Cadillac’s answer to German powerhouses BMW and Mercedes-Benz came in the form of its V-Series spec’d cars. With its latest update, Cadillac appears to be taking aim at BMW M3/M4 and Mercedes C63 performance-oriented vehicles.  According to Motor Authority, Cadillac has hinted a more aggressive version of the ATS-V is in the works. Chief engineer Dave Leone stated the new model would likely drop weight, add horsepower, and tighten up the suspension. All-wheel drive has already been ruled out and so has a dual clutch gear box; it would likely add weight and offer no performance gains. Reports indicate we could see this tuned variant as soon as 2017. The V-Series lineup is also expected to expand across new entries to Cadillac’s lineup in the coming years.
