Dominance is a term that can be used to describe Tesla’s performance in the electric car market. With technology being expensive — and relatively new — there haven’t been many competitors that can offer the same performance oriented efficiency. It looks like the people over at Porsche have taken notice and put the target straight on Tesla, with the announcement of the Mission E. According to Motor Authority, the midsize sedan will produce more than 600 horsepower, thanks to a pair of electric motors at each axle. The 0 – 60 mph time is slated to be 3.5 seconds. On a full charge, the Mission E is expected to travel 310 miles. When the power starts to run low, it can be recharged to 80 percent capacity in just 15 minutes. Porsche says a decision to move forward with the Mission E should be made by December this year.
