The all-new Focus RS has its work cut out for it. It enters a fierce segment that includes the likes of the Subaru WRX STI, Volkswagen Golf R and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Even though it is the new comer, it’s looking to pack a serious punch. The folks over at Ford announced yesterday that the Focus RS is going to far exceed its original horsepower and torque estimates.  At 23.2 psi of boost, the hot hatch makes 350 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. torque. This huge output is thanks to a new low-inertia twin-scroll turbo, larger intercooler, low-restriction intake manifold and a high flow exhaust. If the driver stalls the car, the Focus RS features a trick new stall recovery system that allows the driver to simply press in the clutch to restart the vehicle. Production begins later this year but this news should have the competition worried.
