Subaru Rally Team USA pulled off a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in close to 30 years this past weekend. Driver Dave Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew won the Lake Superior Performance Rally and captured a perfect season. The last undefeated campaign in U.S. rallying was in 1987 by John Buffman, who now works as the teams’s manager.

Higgins and Drew clinched the Rally America Championship back in July, with a win at the New England Forest Rally, and have continued their dominance ever since. The win also nets Higgins a fifth straight Drivers Title.

Subaru Motorsports Marketing Manager Rob Weir stated, “ The team’s result this season is simply impressive. They began the season with an all-new rally car, and despite adversity from the competition, mechanical setbacks, and mother nature, were able to claim the top of the podium at every round.” Congratulations Subaru on another spectacular season!
