BMW is approaching its 100 year anniversary in 2016. As the company prepares for celebrations, it also has something special planned to mark the milestone. As Motor Authority reports, a new BMW i8 Spyder Concept will be previewed at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show. BMW previously teased a Spyder concept back in 2012, and it has finally been reported that a production version is confirmed. The topless model should include some planned changes to the current i8 that will improve power, range, and add some visual tweaks. The current i8 is BMW’s only plug-in hybrid sports car, and the company announced yesterday there are no plans for a standalone supercar this year. Look for more details to drop during the Consumer Electronics Show that runs January 6 – 9 in Las Vegas.
