During the 2016 NADA Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, Jonathan Banks, executive analyst for NADA Used Car Guide, a division of J.D. Power and Associates, and Steven Szakaly, NADA chief economist, will conduct a joint press briefing in room N233 of the Las Vegas Convention Center on April 1 at 8:30 am.

Mr. Banks will present information on the following topics:

  • How the used vehicle market has performed so far during 2016
  • Forecast of used car prices for the remainder of 2016
  • How lease penetration and gas prices are affecting the industry
  • Analysis of Volkswagen’s EPA emission violation and its effect on VW, Audi and Porsche model prices in the used market

Mr. Szakaly will cover the following topics:

  • How new car sales are tracking based on NADA’s 2016 forecast of 17.7 million vehicles
  • Overview of the key economic conditions, trends, and challenges shaping the retail auto industry this year
  • Szakaly will release NADA Data 2015, an annual report on new-car dealership sales and financial trends
