In 1966, Carol Shelby and Hertz teamed up to give rental car customers an opportunity to get behind the wheel of a performance car. That year, the GT350-H was born and the “Rent-A-Racer” program gave the masses a unique driving experience. Fifty years later, the iconic car is set to make its second comeback as Ford Motor Company released the 2016 Shelby GT-H. The agreement allows for 140 units to be available at select airports nationwide as part of the Hertz Adrenaline Collection. Available only in the classic black and gold striped livery, the GT-H comes loaded with Ford and Shelby performance parts. This 50th anniversary edition is meant to show the pledge Hertz has to delivering a fun and personalized rental experience, a model that has kept the brand at the forefront of the business for nearly 100 years.
