July 22 Buick Envision Leaks Out Before Reveal GM has another crossover to add to the fold. FJ Cruiser Heading toward Strong Finish to its Product Lifecycle

Since its introduction in 2006, the FJ Cruiser has been Toyota’s version of a fun, rugged, retro-styled SUV, paying homage to the original Toyota FJ40 Land Cruisers that first appeared in the 1960’s. After several years in production, however, the FJ Cruiser will be discontinued after the 2014 model year, leaving the niche off-road segment solely to the hot-selling Jeep Wrangler. July 18 LF-LC Gets Green Light Alain Uyttenhoven, Lexus Europe’s Vice President, revealed to Autocar that the LF-LC will be produced in 2016.  The concept version of this vehicle debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show and Alain stated that the production model will retain between 90 and 100 percent of what was seen in the concept. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Dominates Sports Car Sales

  Chevrolet Corvette sales have been on fire since the brand introduced its completely redesigned C7 Stingray for the 2014 model year. Through June of this year Chevrolet has managed to sell 17,744 new Stingrays compared to 5,673 over the course of the same period in 2013, equating to a 213% increase in sales. To put the recent success of the Stingray into perspective, consider that through June of this year Porsche has only managed to sell 5,169 911s and SRT has only sold 354 Vipers.
